Friday Wellness Roundup: Wellness with Deskside Exercise

Just because we’re chained to a desk all week long doesn’t mean that we can’t squeeze in some exercise, right? This week, we tour the wellness blogosphere and find some great tips on fitness and health at the office:

  • Our friends at Wellforce reviewed two office workout options: the “Hawaiian Chair” and a mini exercise bike that you can pedal with your feet or arms.
  • They then teach us how to be even more office-workout savvy with recommended exercises and tips for fitting in more fitness at your desk.
  • Check out another office exercise routine, complete with illustrations, at About.com.
  • Finally, HR Benefits Alert discusses why eating lunch at your desk isn’t such a great idea. (One hint: A recent study found that the typical office workspace contains 400 times more germs than a toilet seat. Yum.)

So treat yourself to a nice lunch out this afternoon, refresh yourself this long weekend and get ready to get fit, at your desk and elsewhere, next week.
