More Evidence Wellness Programs on the Rise

According to the Families and Work Institute’s latest "National Study of Employers,” 60 percent of companies now provide wellness programs for employees and their families, up from 51 percent a decade ago.

That jump is obviously great news, but I couldn’t help but nod in agreement at this quote, in a blog post about the new corporate wellness study at HR.BLR.com:

“With healthcare costs continuing to rise, and some employers showing a return on investment in wellness programming (particularly those that offer an annual health risk assessment and counseling), it's surprising that wellness programming hasn't increased at a more significant pace.”
Amen, people.
