Wellness Incentives, Explained

The Wellness Council of America website features a great new resource, all about the red-hot and controversial topic of wellness incentives. The report, "Utilizing Incentives to Increase Partipation" by WELCOA president Dr. David Hunnicutt, is full of useful information and great insights. Writes Hunnicutt:
Wellness programs are something we do with and for employees, not something we do to them.
He explains the difference between carrots and sticks, and compliance vs. commitment. All great food for thought.

And of course, what would a discussion of wellness incentives be without information on HIPAA?

Particularly valuable is the material about "messaging": How to explain the program to employees in a way that is more likely to get them involved rather than make them rebel.
