Jane Sarasohn-Kahn over at Health Populi blogged recently about the many factors that influence health--and level of education is one of them. Of course, education influences income, and wealthier people clearly have access to better health care. But there's more to it than that, as Jane's blog points out. Environment plays an enormous role as well.
That's why corporate wellness initiatives can be so powerful. A culture of wellness is contagious, and as your employees begin to embrace a healthier lifestyle, others are bound to follow suit. Sometimes, all it takes to get the ball rolling is access to quality health information and a little encouragement.
