Target's wellness program already offers a 24-hour NurseLine, a web portal for employees, and discounted fitness center memberships (among other things). Now, the company is testing an initiative that would bring health coaching to its employees. Cash incentives are being offered to those who participate in health screenings, complete an HRA, and take other recommended steps to improve their health.
With 1,699 stores in 49 states, Target stands to impact thousands of lives by making wellness a priority, and we applaud their efforts. Here's hoping that their pilot initiative is so successful that it is soon expanded nationwide.
