Wellness coaching makes it easy to see results because our coaches speak directly to participants and report on their progress. Some of their success stories are really inspiring, and I'd like to share a few:
After seeing the results of his biometric screening last year, "Ted" started working with his coach to set small, measurable health goals. The results have been astounding: By making dietary changes and walking 30 minutes a day, Ted has improved his numbers significantly. His cholesterol alone is down 50 points.
"James" has been going to the gym almost every day since he started working with his wellness coach, and has lost 16 pounds so far. He says that he sees many of his coworkers at the gym, and they encourage each other to stick with it.
"Christine" has struggled with high cholesterol for years and has been on and off medication. Her goal was to lower her cholesterol without medication, if possible. After walking regularly and eating better, her cholesterol is now below 200 -- without medication.
I could go on, but you get the point -- coaching works! Although many people want to make lifestyle changes, they don't always know where to start. Health coaches help participants set reasonable goals and give them the support they need to achieve them -- and over time, the results can be extraordinary.
Have you ever worked with a health coach or a trainer who inspired you? I'd love to hear your story, so be sure to leave a comment below.
